What you should bring on your first lesson?

The first lesson is my chance to get to know a little bit about my new student and for my student to get to know me. Together we will choose a roadmap for lessons and set some achievable goals.

Students should come with their guitar, lesson folder, and pen for notes. I provide a lesson folder at our first lesson.

Students are encouraged to bring a sheet of paper with several of their favorite songs.

Students should also bring the Lesson Policy Sheet with applicable signatures. The policy basically states that you agree to signing up for two months (8 lessons)

Note: If you don’t already have a guitar check out my Gear Page where you will find my recommendations.

Lesson Pricing

I recommend students take four lessons per month. This consistency is the most effective way to build your skill as a musician as quickly as possible. I have a two-month minimum contract for lessons (eight lessons). You can either choose to pay by the month (four lessons at a time) or pay for the full amount for 2 months. Note: I do not accept lesson by lesson payments. Two months are required for enrollment. You may either pay up front for two months or pay for at least half up front.

What is included?

    1. A regular slot during each week that is set aside for your lesson
    2. I provide a lessons folder for holding handouts from session
    3. Instruction that teaches both music notation and tablature.
    4. Excellent instruction tailored to student interests
    5. Accountability to practice and reach your goals

Tuition for new students is due at the time of the first lesson. For those making monthly payments, tuition is due on the final lesson of each month.

I accept cash, check, and also debit or credit. Please note: for digital transactions, there is a 3% processing fee.

Student is not required to pay the full 2 months to enroll. Once the two month policy sheet is signed student may pay month to month.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Cancellations

In the event that a student must reschedule, at least 24 hours notice is needed. There is no guarantee of a reschedule the week of the lesson. If there is not ample notice, the student is expected to pay for that lesson. If I have to cancel a lesson the time will be credited towards another lesson.
